Carver Previews New Plasma Home Theater Surround Speaker System
Elegant, Low -Profile Speakers with Matching Subwoofer Deliver High Quality Audio and Mount Easily on Walls to Complement Flat -Panel Screens
CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, September 10, 2004 - Carver®, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc., previews its new Plasma Home Theater Surround Speaker System, designed to complement plasma and other flat -panel displays, at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2004, beginning today in Indianapolis.
Elegant and unobtrusive, the Plasma Home Theater Surround Speaker System delivers audiophile quality sound at an affordable cost, and brings a new level of acoustic performance to the flat -screen experience. Of course, the speakers also work well with traditional TVs.
The system consists of two low -profile, video -shielded left - and right -channel speakers, a matching center -channel speaker and the compact SW -150P Subwoofer. The left -, right - and center -channel speakers are available in 16 - or 24 -inch lengths to properly mate with virtually any flat -panel display.
Each speaker houses two 4.25 -inch mid -range woofers and a poly treated silk -dome tweeter. Features include a frequency response of 90 Hz to 20 kHz (+/ -2.5 db), 8 -ohm nominal impedance, a sensitivity of 89 dB @ 2.83v/1m, and power handling capability of 15 to 200 watts RMS.
The compact SW -150P Subwoofer is equipped with a 10 -inch, downward -firing premium woofer with an aluminum cone. Additional features include an LFE input, a variable crossover; auto -on, a crossover bypass, high and low level inputs, and high level pass through.
The speakers, excluding the sub, are housed in extruded aluminum enclosures with a bead -blasted finish and an anodized natural aluminum color. Each center -channel speaker also comes with a discrete, sculpted rubber base.
Using included hardware and brackets, the speakers easily mount on the wall surrounding any flat -panel TV. The satellite speakers can also be mounted on a table with optional bases, and a floor -standing model is available for use where wall mounting is impractical or for use as a rear satellite speakers.
Carver's Plasma Home Theater Surround Speaker System can be seen with other fine products from Phoenix Gold in Booth 1002, Indiana Convention Center, during CEDIA.
