Phoenix Gold Introduces 3 Versatile Architectural Speakers for Home Entertainment Applications

New ATc6, ATc6DM with Dual Tweeter and ATi6 Two -Way Speakers Ideal for New Construction or Existing Installations

CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, September 10, 2004 - Phoenix Gold®, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc., introduces its new ATc6, ATc6DM and ATi6 Architectural Speakers at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2004, beginning today in Indianapolis.

The new two -way speakers are ideal for a variety of home entertainment applications, and can be used in virtually any area of the house, whether it's just being constructed or expanding its audio opportunities. The ATc6DM, which has dual tweeters, is designed for use in areas - such as bathrooms, dressing rooms and long hallways - where stereo imaging is impractical or not desired.

The ATc6 Architectural Speaker employs a coaxial design based around a 6 -1/2 -inch woofer with a mica -filled poly cone and butyl rubber surrounds. The woofer is complemented by a pivoting 22 -mm Ferro -Fluid cooled tweeter. Peak power capacity is 200 watts into 8 ohms, and the frequency response is 40 Hz to 20 kHz (+/ -2.5 dB) with 90 dB sensitivity. The outer diameter is 9 inches.

The ATc6DM Architectural Speaker employs a coaxial design based around a dual voice coil woofer and dual tweeters. The woofer is 6 -1/2 -inches with a mica -filled poly cone and butyl rubber surrounds. The tweeter is a dual 19 -mm model, also Ferro -Fluid cooled. Separate terminals on the speaker allow each channel of a stereo amplifier to connect to a single ATc6DM speaker. A switch allows the speaker to operate at 16 ohms for both channels or 8 ohms with a single channel connected.

Peak power capacity is 200 watts into 16 or 8 ohms, and the frequency response is 50 Hz to 20 kHz (+/ -2.5 dB) with 86/89 dB sensitivity. The outer diameter is 9 inches.

The ATi6 Architectural Speaker employs a rectangular design based around a 6 -1/2 -inch woofer with a mica -filled poly cone and butyl rubber surrounds. The woofer is complemented by a pivoting 25 -mm Ferro -Fluid cooled tweeter. Peak power capacity is 200 watts into 8 ohms, and the frequency response is 40 Hz to 20 kHz (+/ -2.5 dB) with 90 dB sensitivity. The outer dimensions are 8.5 x 12 inches.

All the speakers come with paint shields, allowing installers or owners to match any décor.

Carver's ATc6, ATc6DM and ATi6 Architectural Speakers can be seen with other fine products from Phoenix Gold in Booth 1002, Indiana Convention Center, during CEDIA.
