Since its inception in 1999, RGPC has changed how consumers and installers view power distribution and management and solidified themselves as the market leader in parallel, Power Delivery Systems.
The idea for the Power Company came while Richard Gray was working on an amplifier and discovered an old 1930s choke, wired in series. Richard began experimenting with various chokes, but wired them in parallel so as to not limit current. Once he had something he was happy with, he took the prototype to fellow audiophile Dick McCarthy. Richard removed the line conditioners Dick was using, plugged in his prototype and left with the request that Dick call him after a few hours of listening. Dick heard the astounding difference Richard's invention made in his system and having a background in marketing and brand building, he immediately knew they had a product that would revolutionize power management. Combining Richard's R&D genius with Dick's marketing savvy, Richard Gray`s Power Company was born.
From its humble beginnings as a hobby, RGPC is now a multimillion dollar company that continues to experience annual sales growth of 300%. RGPC's product line has expanded from the original 4 -outlet model 400S to a complete Power Delivery System that contains everything needed to provide clean, unrestricted power. RGPC now has 300 active, independent, specialty and custom dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada and an estimated 17,000 units in use across the U.S and overseas.
Even with this unprecedented growth, RGPC remains connected to its dealers and customers. On the RGPC website, potential customers can fill out a "system profile" form and submit it for evaluation to determine which RGPC products would be best for them and how to implement them in their system. Over 75 individual system profiles come in every week and each one is personally answered by RGPC President and co -founder Dick McCarthy.

Dick was recently given the Rookie of the Year Award by the buying group Home Entertainment Source for his outstanding success in securing numerous dealer partners in 2003.
Moving forward, RGPC plans to offer more innovative products that appeal to custom installers and their clients by meeting their specific needs for power management in the automated home environment. In the early development stages are in -wall versions of their parallel inductor units as well as a massive whole -house Power Delivery unit that will be capable of conditioning and protecting and entire household.
