HAI Latest UPB Licensee

Will Release Lighting Control Devices End of 2004

Northridge, September 14, 2004: Powerline Control Systems (PCS, www.pcslighting.com) is pleased to announce that Home Automation, Inc. (HAI, www.homeauto.com) has become the latest Licensee of its patented UPB technology. Manufacturers of the popular line of Omni home automation central controllers, HAI has decided to enter the lighting control market with control products by the end of 2004.

HAI's decision to License UPB proves the growing popularity and market acceptance of the technology. PCS envisions UPB becoming the de facto standard home automation / powerline communication protocol.

"We looked at several technologies for our lighting control products. UPB stands out for its performance and cost effectiveness," says Jay McLellan, President of HAI. The company previewed the new lighting control line at the CEDIA show September 10 - 12, 2004.

Marshall Lester, CEO of PCS and inventor of the UPB technology, proudly states, "After developing and testing the UPB technology over the past seven years, to have such a well respected partner in our industry license our technology further confirms the veracity of our business plan and company direction".

COO and Director of Business Development Stan Mann continues, "To add HAI to our list of Licensees will only serve to broaden the market that will benefit from a truly reliable powerline communication technology".
