3rd Annual Home Theater Cruise™ 2004 Educational Technology Conference At Sea In The Western Caribbean Aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner Of The Seas Produced By Home Theater Cruise, LLC
Enthusiasts End Users & CEDIA Members Booking For The Networking Opportunity Event Of The Year!
This year's Third Annual Home Theater Cruise (CEDIA is a sponsor) will once again feature an educational technology conference in an informal atmosphere. The program is a mixture of presentations and panels of industry leaders, technologists, and knowledgeable practitioners. Attendees can learn from home theater equipment manufacturers, display technologists, screen designers, DVD and HD creators, copy protection and A/V interface experts, studio representatives, acoustic scientists and practitioners, audio futurists, filmmakers, and experienced surround sound applications practitioners and recording engineers. The program includes twelve presentations covering display calibration and performance, screen selection, and surround sound for movies and music. There will be five panel discussions with Q&A: Everything You Need To Know About Home Theatre, How To Choose A Display, Home Theater/Surround Music Acoustics, Setting A New Surround Sound Standard, and Battle Of The Formats: HD -DVD, Blu -ray Disc, and Windows Media Video HD. A sixth panel discussion will include all of the panelists in a massive two -hour -forty -five -minute Q&A session with the end user audience. In addition, in the home theater demo room there will be Making Movie Tracks Sessions: Case Study of the Making of The Lord Of The Rings DVD Soundtracks and Case Study of the Making of The Matrix Trilogy DVD Soundtracks. Famous recording engineers will conduct surround music demos in another room.
All the sessions are of high educational value and provide insights to achieving the best that it can be in picture and sound performance in a home theater. The program provides an outstanding opportunity for company CEOs, technologists, and CEDIA practitioners to network and exchange information with each other and with serious home theater enthusiast end users. And there will be plenty of time at sea, during seven sponsored parties on -board -and at our three ports of call Ocho Rios Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico -for one -on -one networking and the exchange of experiences and ideas among company executives, dealers, reps, technologists, and most importantly, serious home theater enthusiast end users. All in all, the cruise offers everyone involved the opportunity to understand new technology and the issues facing both end users and the home theater industry.
All of this over a seven -day cruise (October 24 to 31) in the Western Caribbean aboard Royal Caribbean's new Mariner of the Seas, one of the largest and most beautifully -appointed and fun -equipped "super liner" cruise ships in the world. Our conference program takes place in a relaxed, scenically beautiful environment.
This is one of the few (if not the only) opportunities for consumers to interface with manufacturers and technologists and vice versa in what is assured to be once again a two -way shared learning experience! We call it "Cruising To Perfection™."
And we have scheduled seven parties, including Welcome Aboard and Thank You parties. At our Thank You party we will be holding, once again this year, an ELF Foundation auction, which directly benefits ill children by building mini theaters in children's hospitals. During last year's cruise $39,000 was raised for this charity.
