INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 10, 2004 -Aurora Multimedia Corp., an industry leader in interactive communications and technology, will display its IBrowz Series of touch panel monitors at CEDIA 2004, Booth #1710. The IBrowz series consists of the 15" IBZ -1500, 17" IBZ -1700 and the wireless 10.4" IBZ -V210. All of the IBrowz displays feature built -in web browsers, so there is no external computer required.
"There are many companies that need interactive monitor displays, but cost is always an issue," states John Bilodeau, vice president of sales and marketing for Aurora Multimedia. "In addition to providing a built -in web browser, the IBrowz Series also has all of the features and options of the more expensive LCD touch screen displays and, combined with our WACI technology, offers a complete A/V control solution without a proprietary programming language. In fact, the IBrowz series can be used with other control system manufacturers' LAN -based equipment for a more economical touch panel solution."
The IBZ -1500 is a 15", 1024 x 768 resolution LCD monitor that features an embedded VIA Eden (ESP 600 MHz processor) solution and supports high -performance multi -media, 3 -D video and MPEG formats. Priced much lower than most proprietary control system's color touch panels, the IBZ -1500 runs a special firmware build to pull up a browser window that operates like a touch panel for standard web page languages and features touch panel pages, which are served up from a WACI control system or any other web server based system. The user will not be able to access configuration options without password protected administrative rights. The IBZ -1500, which allows multi -media playback, is compatible with the entire line of WACI control systems from the WACI Jr. to the new WACI NX+. The IBZ -1500 boasts expandable and flexible design with a DC power inlet, an RJ -45 for 10/100 Base -T Ethernet, two Mini -DIN6F for keyboard & mouse, two serial ports (DB9M and DB25F), a microphone input, a headphone output, two USB ports and a PCMCIA card bus type II slot.
The IBZ -1700 boasts the same dynamic features as the IBZ -1500, but with a much larger 17" 1280 x 1024 resolution screen.
Aurora Multimedia's wireless (wireless via embedded 802.11b LAN connectivity), IT -friendly IBZ -V210 features an exclusive touch panel build of Windows® CE.NET 4.2 operating system and a 10.4" 800 x 600 resolution screen.
