Westinghouse Delivers LCD TVs to Family Improvement Reality Show

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Aug. 26, 2004 - Westinghouse Digital Electronics, dedicated to making digital entertainment devices available to mainstream consumers, today announced that it will be part of the Fox Broadcasting Company's new unscripted show, RENOVATE MY FAMILY.

The new FOX show is scheduled to premiere with a two -hour special Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, 8:00 -10:00 p.m. EST/PST and will have its time period premier Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, 9 -10 p.m. EST/PST. In each episode, a family is given a complete makeover, including home renovations and personal makeovers. The producers selected the families because of previous hardships or their desire to overcome obstacles.

Westinghouse LCD TVs will be installed to demonstrate one of the most exciting trends today in home interior design - mounting flat panel televisions on the wall. The ultra -thin, compact Westinghouse Digital LCD TVs give back floor space, add a stylish touch to any room in the house, and extend entertainment options beyond the living room.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to show millions of viewers how digital flat panel televisions are changing the way rooms are decorated and enhancing the quality of home entertainment," said Douglas Woo, president of Westinghouse Digital.

"LCD TVs are ideal for replacing bulky CRT TVs and can be used in many more rooms other than the living room," Woo said. "As viewers will see when they watch RENOVATE MY FAMILY, using Westinghouse wall mounts, our TVs can easily be installed in the kitchen, master bedroom, children's bedroom, family room, garage or even a bathroom."

RENOVATE MY FAMILY is hosted by best -selling author Jay McGraw, son of Dr. Phil McGraw, and is produced by Rocket Science Laboratories, which also produced the hit shows "Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy," "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé" and "Joe Millionaire."

"Westinghouse is a brand that families all across the country know and trust," said Doug Forbes, RENOVATE MY FAMILY producer. "The Westinghouse LCD TVs are sure to be one of the families' favorite home improvements."

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
