The ex-tend-it 2:8 HDTV Distribution Amplfier from Gefen distributes up to 8 HDCP-compliant high definition video signals, and can be stacked to distribute more than 40 signals at the same time.
Indianapolis, IN - CEDIA 2004 - Not only can one digital video signal be split and distributed to eight displays with Gefen's ex -tend -it 2:8 HDTV Distribution Amplifier, the input video can be switched between two sources as well. This new distribution amplifier is designed for application in venues that send the same video graphics to multiple displays for presentation, education or entertainment purposes. For greater video demands, the 2:8 HDTV DA can be expanded through a ninth output to attach additional units (up to 6) allowing for the potential to distribute video to more than 40 displays at the same time. This ninth output can also be used to drive an additional display (9 total).
The unit supports displays that are placed locally or remotely. If extended to remote locations, the 2:8 HDTV DA is capable of distributing the video up to 1000 feet in distance, when used with a separate extension solution, such as Gefen's DVI -1000 HD.
The 2:8 HDTV DA is compatible with DVI (digital video interface) video sources, displays and projectors. Multiple high definition video resolutions are supported up to 1080p. The unit supports standards for DVI -compliant displays, including HDTVs that use DVI to connect to their source.
