Chapel Hill, NC - September 10, 2004 - DVI Gear introduces the world's first Budget -Priced HDMI cables for HDTV signal applications. HDMI cables are designed to carry digital -only DVI video signals from a graphics card to an HDTV display, along with digital audio signals for surround sound capabilities - all contained within one wire.

These cables are configured for single link operation, incorporate industry -standard 28 -gauge wire and are limited to lower resolution HD formats (i.e. 480p, 720p and 1080i) and distances of less than 5 meters. The primary application of these cables is for consumer HDTV display applications. The budget -priced HDMI cables are available in both HDMI to HDMI connectorization as well as HDMI to DVI connectorization.
