M.D. Manufacturing Introduces Industry's First Central Vacuum Telephone Module
Compact UPB -Enabled Home Automation Accessory for AirForce® Vacuum System Ends Missed Calls During Cleaning
CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, Sept. 10, 2004 - M.D. Manufacturing, Inc., an award -winning specialist in the design and manufacture of high -performance whole -house central vacuum systems, introduces the unique AirForce® Telephone Module at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2004, beginning today in Indianapolis.
The AirForce Telephone Module is the first device to automatically, conveniently and remotely turn off a central vacuum system when the phone rings, allowing users to answer their calls and no longer feel concerned about missing important ones.
The Module is a small plug -in device that installs into the M.D. AirForce Central Vacuum system using the AirForce's built -in Universal Powerline Bus (UPB), through which short command messages are sent on a home's 120V, 60Hz AC single -phase power line. UPB technology makes installation a snap. Simply connect the Module as if it were an answering machine, between where the telephone line goes into the wall and back out to a phone.
The Module includes line -in and line -out connections for a standard RJ12 phone line, and is designed to connect to one telephone line. It also includes an LED status indicator.
The MD AirForce is the quietest, coolest, most technologically advanced central vacuum now available. Its unique design incorporates exclusively licensed Power3® Technology that electronically integrates the vacuum, for the first time, into home automation systems. This enables the AirForce to connect to accessory devices, such as the Telephone Module, and take advantage of features never before available to central vacuums.
Power3 Technology allows the AirForce to replace the low -voltage wire traditionally used in central vacuums with a small microprocessor -based module embedded in the vacuum hose. The hose module sends a series of encoded digital pulses over ordinary 120 -volt household wiring to a receiver module that decodes the pulses and enables the vacuum to communicate seamlessly with other elements of home automation systems, such as the Telephone Module.
The AirForce® Telephone Module is available from authorized M.D. Manufacturing for a suggested price of $71. It can be seen with other outstanding M.D. Manufacturing products in Booth 508, Indiana Convention Center, during CEDIA EXPO.
