ITRAN Communications (www.ITRANcomm.com), a leading provider of PLC modem chips, and PLANET Systems Co. Ltd (www.planetsys.co.kr), a leading provider of PLC control and networking systems, PLC modem chips and a member of the Korean PLC forum, have announced the completion of a successful co -development for the worldwide Market.

ITRAN'S IT800 narrowband PHY (Physical Layer) has been integrated with Planet's MAC (Medium Access Control; Zbus Plug & Play technology) layer for HNCP (the Korean National protocol for PLC) based applications. The new PLC modem incorporates the features and advantages of ITRAN'S extremely reliable IT800 PHY and the advanced MAC algorithms developed by Planet. The Korean PLC forum has already adopted these algorithms as part of the Korean national standard.
