ITRAN Communications (www.ITRANcomm.com) and PLANET Systems Co. Ltd (www.planetsys.co.kr) have announced the completion of a successful co-development for the worldwide Market.

ITRAN Communications (www.ITRANcomm.com), a leading provider of PLC modem chips, and PLANET Systems Co. Ltd (www.planetsys.co.kr), a leading provider of PLC control and networking systems, PLC modem chips and a member of the Korean PLC forum, have announced the completion of a successful co -development for the worldwide Market.

"The excellent collaboration with ITRAN has resulted in a high performance modem that we can now start to offer to the Korean market as a standard product", said Mr. Chul Kim, CEO of Planet Systems. "The seamless integration between our technologies enables an optimized implementation of the Korean national HNCP protocol over power line. Such robust technology allows us to further strengthen our position as a leading provider of high performance products in Korea and in the world."

ITRAN'S IT800 narrowband PHY (Physical Layer) has been integrated with Planet's MAC (Medium Access Control; Zbus Plug & Play technology) layer for HNCP (the Korean National protocol for PLC) based applications. The new PLC modem incorporates the features and advantages of ITRAN'S extremely reliable IT800 PHY and the advanced MAC algorithms developed by Planet. The Korean PLC forum has already adopted these algorithms as part of the Korean national standard.

"We are very happy with the collaboration with Planet Systems" said Avner Matmor, ITRAN'S CEO. "Our IT800 PLC modem technology can be integrated with standard protocols as well as with proprietary protocols. The flexibility we offer allows our customers to implement a wide range of applications and protocols over the existing electrical wires, as successfully done by Planet for the Korean market".

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
