ELAN™Sense Line Features Comprehensive Mix of Sensors Developed to Meet Specialty Dealer's Needs

LEXINGTON, KY - - ELAN™ Home Systems today announced that the company has started to ship its comprehensive new sensors, ELAN™Sense. The announcement was made by Bob Farinelli, President and Chief Technical Officer of ELAN Home Systems.

ELAN™Sense features six smart sensors developed to suit virtually any of today's basic home automation applications. The new line, comprised of a Voltage Sensor,LED/Light Sensor, Contact Sensor, Audio Sensor, Video Sensor, and Current Sensor, helps ensure that status and events are 100% accurate - 100% of the time.

According to Mr. Farinelli, "ELAN provides many levels of home automation. We have seen a trend of requests for basic home automation using sense and contact closure inputs, without a lot of programming required. Previously, we were referring our Dealers to available products on the market, and along the way, it became clear that there was a need for, and an opportunity for us to produce, a more reliable product. Our new lineup provides dealers with a superior product at a price point that fits well within their client's needs and budgets."

Paul Starkey, ELAN's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, added, "We recently introduced our new multi -room controllers, the System6 and System12, both of which include sense inputs on board. We designed these new sensors to plug -and -play with our latest generation of controllers in order to serve all types of installations from the most basic up to the best and beyond."

Individually priced at $40.00 (MSRP) per unit, each Sensor possesses its own unique functionality. The Voltage Sensor detects any AC/DC voltage between 3V and 24V. The LED/Light Sensor detects light including day light, room lights, LEDs, and various displays. The Contact Sensor detects dry switch / relay closures. The Audio Sensor detects line level audio from any RCA -type audio output. The Video Sensor detects composite video from any RCA -type video output, and the Current Sensor detects AC current in power cords and AC magnetic fields generated by motors, transformers, and TVs.
