Cabletronix Announces the Tsunami and Avalanche High Performance Surge Protectors

Two high performance surge protectors designed to protect consumer electronic equipment for the home entertainment, satellite, and cable television industry against damage from harmful power surges and lightning strikes.

(NACE), announced today the introduction of two high performance surge protectors designed to protect consumer electronic equipment for the home entertainment, satellite, and cable television industry against damage from harmful power surges and lightning strikes.


The Cabletronix Tsunami is a 10 -outlet surge protector with EMI/RFI filtering, 4 pairs of coaxial inputs and outputs with 2.25 GHz "F" connectors, an integrated telephone splitter, and protection for one phone/fax/modem line. A surge indicator light, a ground indicator light, and an integrated reset button are also included. The Tsunami boasts some of the highest electrical specifications including 6,900 joules of energy dissipation and 150,000 -amp maximum spike current protection.

The Avalanche is Cabletronix's 7 -outlet surge protector with EMI/RFI filtering, 2 pairs of coaxial inputs and outputs with 2.25 GHz "F" connectors, and protection for one phone/fax/modem line. A surge indicator light, a ground indicator light, and an integrated reset button are included. The Avalanche offers competitive electrical specifications including 2,210 joules of energy dissipation and 45,000 -amp maximum spike current protection.
