BELDEN® HOMECHOICE® MINI HIGH-RES COMPONENT VIDEO CABLES ARE IDEAL FOR RGB, DTV AND HDTV APPLICATIONS
These precision analog/digital cables are designed to meet homeowners' needs for higher frequency, longer distance transmissions. Specifically, they enhance the ability to run more demanding applications such as high resolution graphics on large screens, high -res CAD, animation, editing and special effects, as well as multiple runs of composite video signals such as in SDI and HDTV applications.
A host of design features set Belden's Mini RGB cables apart from traditional analog Mini RGB cables:
To minimize bit errors and optimize whole -system performance, Belden offers true 75 ohms impedance; others offer 71 ohms actual.
To lower the cable's attenuation characteristics, Belden provides 25 AWG (solid) bare copper conductors and a secure -serve over foil (locked) shield design vs. 26 AWG stranded copper conductors and foil over serve shields.
To provide low attenuation and exceptional long distance and timing characteristics, Belden non -plenum cables utilize high velocity (81%), low -loss FPE and FEP Teflon® insulations vs. foam PPL (78 -81% velocity).
Belden Mini RGB cables, available in both Non -plenum (CMR) and Plenum (CMP) versions, are comprised of 3, 4, 5 or 6 coaxes. The conductors are 25 AWG (solid) bare copper, the insulations are high density FPE or a foamed FEP Teflon. Shielding is Duobond® foil (100%) + tinned copper with a secure -serve (locked) braid and the foil is under the copper braid in accordance with Broadcast Quality cable design convention. The overall jackets are either Black or Gray PVC.
Each and every reel is tested and verified to have a minimum Return Loss of 15dB at all frequencies up to 3 GHz.
