Elkhart, Indiana Summit Seating, Inc. announces its 'Matinee' series of home theater. Models will debut at the 2004 CEDIA EXPO, Sept. 8 -12 in Indianapolis. Summit Seating was formed earlier this year when Form Fit, Inc. and Extreme Seating, Inc., two of Elkhart County's most respected names in the seating industry, announced their merger.
According to Summit's president, Ray Fink, "This new series of home seating styles incorporates rigorous attention to detail throughout the design and manufacturing steps. In addition to designing seating that is durable, comfortable and attractive, we've incorporated acoustic designs that optimize the seating for the individual that enhance audio performance in today's home theatre settings. The result for the home theatre owner is performance that enhances the best symphonic performance of the audio equipment."
"All materials selected for Summit Seating products are selected for performance. The finest quality foam is selected, heavier than the average cushion used in upholstered furniture, eliminating the use of 'fillers' like many less expensive competitive models. Fillers can weaken foam, causing it to soften or become mis -shaped. Our 100% virgin urethane foam provides consumers with a comfortable, long wearing seating product that will last long into the future," Fink continued.
The Matinee Series includes additional design options such as corner groupings, single and multiple seating units, built -in cabinetry and a wide selection of fabrics and leathers. When Summit Seating is given physical dimensions of a home theatre setting, its engineers can custom -design seating that enhances, not inhibits, the acoustical properties of the surrounding area.
Summit Seating occupies manufacturing space at the former Form Fit complex, located on the south side of Elkhart, Indiana. In addition to seating for the home theatre industry, it also provides OEM and aftermarket seating for the van conversion, pickup truck, SUV and specialty vehicle markets.
