Home Media Networks Signs OEM Deal With Leading Consumer Wireless and Infrared Technology Company To Support Emerging `PC Hub` Community

Home Media Networks Ltd, developer of network -capable home entertainment software, today announced it has signed an OEM deal with X10 to package its award -winning solution, ShowShifter, with X10's infrared PC remote control. The deal is in response to increasing desire from consumers to utilise the capabilities of a PC as the entertainment 'hub' in the home.

X10 is the leading global seller of home surveillance, security and automation products. The 'PC Control' remote control works with all existing TV and video equipment, as well as having the ability to control a standard PC. The package is provided with a RF signal receiver (which can be connected via USB) and version 1.55 of the ShowShifter software.

Home Media Networks' award -winning home entertainment software, ShowShifter, allows users to watch, record and time -shift (pause) TV, play DVD videos and listen to radio, CDs and MP3 music files all through one interface, providing a unique entertainment experience.

X10 has been making innovative, easy -to -use products for more than 20 years. Founded in the UK, it designs, manufactures, and sells affordable wireless systems that fit many different needs in the modern home. The bundled solution is to be distributed in Europe and the Middle East by Marmitek and direct from the ShowShifter website.
