FAIRFAX, Va., April 30, 2004 - - The International Communications Industries Association, Inc.® (ICIA®) has awarded production of its first annual AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet to Integrated Event Management (IEM) in Decatur, Ga. The awards banquet is scheduled to take place on June 8 preceding InfoComm 04 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
ICIA selected IEM on the basis of its innovative concept for the event as well as the company's broad expertise in production and staging.
`ICIA received several proposals from very qualified firms,` said ICIA Executive Director Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D, `but we felt that IEM had the best combination of cutting -edge creativity and technical expertise. We anticipate that our audience of AV professionals will be impressed by the production of our awards event.`
AVW -TELAV will stage the event and XL Video will provide Barco Pixel Blocks. The full set of gear is being pulled together and Integrated Event Management is producing the banquet show to take full advantage of it.
The premiere event is being co -sponsored by ARCHI -TECH magazine and UEMedia's Rental & Staging Systems and Systems Contractor News magazines. The banquet is a professionally produced ticketed dinner event designed to honor key professionals and companies in the communications AV industry.
