SAN RAMON, Calif., April 20, 2004 - HomePlug Powerline Alliance, Inc., an industry consortium that creates specifications for high -speed powerline networking products and services, today announced the election of a new slate of officers with deep experience in technology, consumer products and retail markets. Leading the slate are Oleg Logvinov as president and Pete Griffin as chairman of the board.

In the new position of chairman, Griffin, currently serving as the Director of Technology at RadioShack Corporation, brings 25 years of retail experience in consumer electronics. Together, Logvinov and Griffin will lead the Alliance as it continues to build momentum in the retail sector for HomePlug 1.0, while finalizing the development and market introduction of its exciting next -generation specification, HomePlug AV.

"During 2004, the Alliance is completing development of the next -generation standard, HomePlug AV, which is built from the ground up to support high bandwidth entertainment applications, such as HDTV and home theater."
Logvinov succeeds Peter Kempf, vice president of Marketing Wireless Data & Networking Components, Conexant Systems Inc. Kempf led the Alliance through significant achievements including expansion of HomePlug 1.0 products visibility and planning for the new HomePlug AV specification, and continues to be active on the HomePlug Board of Directors.
