Worthington University adds Two Sessions

Industry recognized Worthington University training will be offered in Newark NJ and Orlando FL in the third quarter of 2004.

Worthington University was developed to offer professional installers a complete course for integrating the home. Based on over 10 years of training experience, University is the culmination of years of product evaluations and field experience to create an integrated systems course. Products for the course are specifically chosen based on their ability to be easily integrated in a plug -and -play manner.

The first University Trainings have been sellouts in major cities: Newark, Orlando, Anaheim and Raleigh. The fifth session in Las Vegas is sold out a month ahead of time. In response, Worthington University is returning to Newark, NJ in August and Orlando, FL in September.

Worthington University is designed to train 24 dealers on the basic fundamentals of systems integration over a 4 day period. Topics include structured wiring, lighting control, lighting systems, whole house audio, security, HVAC, interfaces, serial integration, IP integration, and sales and marketing. The course features 8 room displays featuring working equipment in each room. Exercises give the attendees the opportunity to interact with systems in a hands -on environment.

`University is a course that our industry desperately needs. Manufacturers do an excellent job educating students on their own products, but it is more difficult finding a source for information on how products can be integrated,` says Tom Morgan, Vice President of Worthington University. `University is focused on providing answers to dealers on how to offer their customers complete system solutions.`
