Greyfox Systems introduces the IP Video Server, a new addition to their heralded Cat5 Camera System.

Greyfox Systems introduces the IP Video Server, a new addition to their heralded Cat5 Camera System. Working together with the Cat5 Camera System, this product allows standard Greyfox cameras to be viewed over the TV network, through the local computer network or remotely over the Internet from anywhere in the world. The high performance device uses a standard browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, and includes its own standalone video recording software.

Integrated into the design is a Quad Display enabling four cameras to be seen at the same time. The IP video server also includes configurable security triggers as well as recording software for up to 4 cameras that utilizes the homeowner's computer hard drive to store recordings.

"This product demonstrates the power of structured wiring - everything connects and works together to build an elegant network of cutting edge technology in one distinct location", says Dan Tarkoff, General Manager of Greyfox Systems. "Homeowners can feel safer than ever, now being able to check on their home at work, home or virtually anywhere as long as they have Internet access."

To address the problem of dynamic IP addresses, Greyfox also launched a new service, FoxCam Remote™, to offer homeowners and installers a simple, low -cost solution. This simple one -time software installation allows the homeowner to use an easy web address to access their camera system without having to worry about complicated IP address issues.
