SDI to DVI Adapter converts SDI video outputs to DVI compatible signals for use with DVI displays and projectors.

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND [February 3~5, 2004] The ex -tend -it SDI to DVI Adapter is the newest Gefen converter to bring together disparate video sources and displays. In this case, it enables systems that output video data using SDI (serial data interface) or high definition SDI (HD -SDI) to display on digital flat panels, including high definition television (HDTV) displays equipped with DVI (digital visual interface). SDI sources can also be connected to any Gefen DVI and HDTV Switcher using the Adapter. Switchers enable multiple video sources to connect to one flat panel digital display, and provide a seamless method of transitioning between sources without unplugging or reconnecting devices.

The SDI to DVI Adapter ($999) is a unique device that essentially converts SDI and high definition SDI video data into a DVI output. It supports SMPTE, PAL and NTSC formats up to 1080I and is compatible with most DVI displays and projectors, including LCDs, plasmas and high definition televisions. The unit is equipped with two SDI inputs, one DVI output and an external 5VDC power supply, and is available for purchase and review at or through a Gefen dealer, located around the world and also listed online.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
