Electrolux Group Introduces Afuera Central Vacuum System

Sets New Heights for Ease of Use, Time Saving and Indoor Air Quality

(Bloomington, Ill.) - Electrolux, a name synonymous with superior home cleaning products, announces Afuera, a state -of -the -art central vacuum system that assures fast, convenient cleaning, and the first central vacuum to offer true HEPA filtration.

"The Afuera Central Vacuum System is the ultimate cleaning solution, delivering the maximum cleaning capability in a minimum amount of time," says Erin Sanchez, senior brand manager for Electrolux Floor Care.

The Afuera represents the first Electrolux branded central vacuum produced and marketed by the Stockholm -based Electrolux Group. It features the Electrolux CleanStream™ filter from the makers of GORE -TEX® fabric. The only true HEPA filtration system available in a central vacuum system screens particulates as small as dust mites, pollen, plant spores and tobacco smoke. The filter is guaranteed for the life of the system, and can be returned to like -new condition by simply tapping it against a hard surface or by gently washing it in water once every three years.

"This superior filtration system enables the Afuera Central Vacuum System to prevent virtually all captured dust, dirt and allergens from recirculating in the living area. This provides installers with the flexibility to place the system's power unit in a utility room, closet, laundry room basement or garage," says Sanchez. "It assures an easy -to -maintain, healthy living environment."

The system is powered by a 520 air watts motor that delivers up to five times more cleaning power than conventional vacuums, yet emits less than one -half the sound of traditional central vacuums. The motor is packaged in a sleek, scratch - and rust -resistant Valox™ body.

`The Afuera is so quiet it won't awaken someone sleeping in a room that is being cleaned," Sanchez adds.

The accompanying Electrolux Cleaning Essentials kit provides a complete package of ergonomically designed tools to provide superior, whole -house cleaning capability in the shortest possible time. The Cleaning Essentials feature a self -adjusting electric power brush to deep clean carpets of any height or pile thickness as well as an assortment of tools to clean hard -surface flooring and hard -to -clean places such as the surfaces behind or under kitchen appliances. Above -the -floor cleaning tools include a variety of brushes and telescopic wands to handle dusting and surface cleaning of stairs, upholstery and other home furnishings, window coverings, walls and ceilings.

The Electrolux Cleaning Essentials also feature a lightweight, flexible, 32 -foot hose to assure faster whole -house cleaning than any other central vacuum. The hose comes equipped with a zippered, quilted hose sock to protect furniture and woodwork during cleaning.

"The added power plus the wider coverage area allow the homeowner to clean an entire home in less time and more thoroughly than ever before," Sanchez adds.

Distributed by ADI, the Electrolux Afuera can increase the value of a typical home by more than the cost of the system. The system can be installed in any new or existing home in less than a day starting at about $1,500. It also carries a lifetime warranty on all major parts, a 10 -year warranty on the motor and electrical components and one -year warranty on labor.
