TERK EXPANDS ITS LINEUP OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE HDTV RECEPTION SOLUTIONS WITH INTRODUCTION OF HDTVi INDOOR HDTV ANTENNA - Innovative, Stylish HDTVi Receives Both UHF and VHF Broadcast Signals To Provide Total Local HDTV Reception -
Commack, NY, January 8, 2004 - TERK Technologies Corp., a leader in antenna technology for TV, satellite, radio and mobile communications applications, today announced the introduction of its HDTVi, the company's first -ever indoor HDTV antenna. The stylish, high -performance HDTVi is the only indoor antenna designed to receive both UHF and VHF signals (channels 2 - 69), to provide reception of all local HDTV broadcasts.
The compact, advanced -technology TERK HDTVi gives consumers who live anywhere from a city apartment to a suburban home the ability to experience HDTV broadcasts in full resolution. Designed for total reception versatility, the HDTVi utilizes a high -gain antenna array that can be oriented either horizontally or vertically within its mounting base, to achieve maximum capture of off -air HDTV broadcasts within the user's reception area.
Randall Rosenbaum, Product Manager, TERK Technologies, pointed out: "The HDTVi makes it easy for a wide range of consumers to receive HDTV broadcasts without having to install an outdoor antenna, and without being hampered by the lower resolution broadcasts often delivered by satellite and cable providers. TERK is excited to launch HDTVi, an innovative, high -performance HDTV antenna that delivers superior performance and breakthrough value."
The TERK HDTVi is engineered for reception of all local HDTV broadcasts, with an operating bandwidth covering both the UHF (channels 2 - 13) and VHF (channels 14 - 69) frequency ranges. Its highly directional log periodic UHF and precision VHF elements are designed to receive HDTV broadcasts with maximum signal strength, along with high interference rejection.
The HDTVi is as exceptional in appearance as it is in performance. Its curved, tapering, polished aluminum antenna elements are mounted in a slim, silver -finish base with a contoured front section that visually complements the curve of the antenna elements. Although powerful in performance, the HDTVi is compact and easy to install atop or near a TV set.
Rosenbaum concluded, "The TERK HDTVi is one of the most significant products TERK has introduced in this category, as it brings all the extraordinary image quality and viewing excitement of HDTV to a wider range of consumers than ever before."
The TERK HDTVi will be shipping at the end of January at a suggested retail price of $39.99.
