Home Media Networks' Award Winning Software Now Supports All Free-to-air Digital Channels

Home Media Networks Ltd, developer of network -capable home entertainment software, today announced the release of the first -ever digital version of its award -winning home entertainment software, ShowShifter DVB. Allowing viewers to access all of the current free digital channels, whether via an existing terrestrial aerial, cable or satellite. The software completely eradicates the need for consumers to purchase a Freeview digital box in the UK.


Used in tandem with any of the current industry -leading DVB tuner cards, ShowShifter DVB negates the need for a set top box, allowing you to watch, record and time -shift (pause) live digital TV. Also new to ShowShifter DVB is an integrated electronic programme guide (EPG) searchable by programme, actor or keyword ensuring that users never miss a show again.

Home Media Networks' award -winning home entertainment software, ShowShifter, allows users to watch, record and time -shift (pause) TV, play DVD videos and listen to radio, CDs and MP3 music files all through one interface, providing a unique entertainment experience. The ability to control ShowShifter with a remote control and its unique Farview interface enables the consumer to use the product from anywhere in the room, as with conventional home entertainment products. Using a PC running ShowShifter as the core of a home entertainment network also eliminates the need for a separate Hi -fi, VCR and DVD.
