BERLIN, December 16, 2003 - Amphony will unveil its 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Audio Transmitter / Amplifier, Model 1050 at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show, which is capable of transmitting audio to loudspeakers without wires and without any audio degradation.
"In most circumstances, it is practically impossible to run wires to rear speakers in a home theater setting or to speakers in another room," said Gunter Fellbaum, Marketing Director at Amphony.
"Previous wireless audio solutions suffer from two major drawbacks - noise and audio distortion. Our technology provides true CD quality wireless audio by employing digital audio transmission without any audio compression and the inherent audio degradation and latency. The Model 1050 Receiver / Amplifier incorporates a digital class -T stereo amplifier, which features high power efficiency while greatly reducing audio distortion found in conventional class -D digital amplifiers. The receiver / amplifier has a maximum output power of 50 Watts per speaker and connects to any passive speaker."
The 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Audio Transmitter / Amplifier, Model 1050 has a suggested retail price of $129. It includes a digital audio receiver / amplifier and a digital audio transmitter that connects to most types of audio equipment. Additional receiver / amplifiers can be purchased separately to operate from the initial transmitter.
