PD4240D 42 -Inch Widescreen Plasma Monitor
The new Marantz PD4240D delivers extraordinary widescreen (16:9) picture quality from all video sources for home theater systems and custom installations, incorporating a breakthrough 1365 x 768 high -definition plasma display panel that offers an exceptional new level of image clarity and sharpness, with improved color accuracy and more realistic grayscale and blacks. The PD4240D includes a DVI input with HDCP (High -Bandwidth Content Protection), enabling direct digital input of high -definition television signals including copy -protected broadcasts. At EHX 2003, Marantz will also display its recently introduced PD5040D widescreen plasma monitor.
New 6 -channel MM9360 and 4 -channel MM9340 Discrete Power Amplifiers
Continuing its tradition of offering consumers the ultimate in high -performance audio and home theater solutions, Marantz introduces its 6 -channel MM9360 and 4 -channel MM9340 discrete power amplifiers. Both new multi -channel amplifiers are designed for audio and home theater applications where pure, accurate, detailed and powerful dynamic sound reproduction is a top priority. The amplifiers also lend themselves to the custom installation market with features such as DC triggers, 70 volt operation, bridging capabilities and are rack mountable.
SR7400, SR6400, Home Theater Receivers: Breaking New Ground
Marantz' new SR7400 and SR6400 home theater receivers both offer improved features, performance and value compared to the previous models. The 7.1 -channel SR7400 is one the industry's first A/V receiver to include Dolby Pro Logic IIx surround processing, which provides a natural, expansive, full -range 7.1 -channel listening experience from stereo and 5.1 -channel -encoded sources, thanks to proprietary processing algorithms that deliver a highly realistic, seamless 7.1 -channel sonic environment. Both receivers incorporate a host of additional advanced technologies and features, including new TruSurround Headphone virtual surround sound technology.
VP -12S3: A New Standard in Home Theater Projector Excellence
Marantz's VP -12S3 High -Definition Projector featuring DLP™ technology improves on the performance of its predecessor, the VP -12S2 with a host of upgraded features and technologies, delivering a remarkable new level of high -definition image quality for custom home theater installations. The VP -12S3 (SRP: $12,999) features a Texas Instruments HD2+ DMD™ chip in conjunction with a newly developed 1280 x 720 pixel panel and leading edge DLP™ technology, to deliver higher brightness, contrast, resolution and color accuracy. Image quality is further enhanced by refinements such as an improved color wheel, and a 200 -watt DC lamp designed to eliminate flicker and maintain a more uniform brightness throughout the life of the bulb. The VP -12S3 provides an expanded range of installer and user adjustments, and offers a full complement of video connections, along with RC -5 remote in/out connections, an RS -232C control port and two DC trigger connections, for integrated operation in custom installations.
Model DV8400 Universal DVD Player With DVI/HDCP
Marantz will be demonstrating its leadership position in high -performance home theater technology with its Model DV8400 DVD -Audio/Video/SACD Player. The THX Select -certified DV8400 builds upon the extraordinary performance and features of its predecessor (Model DV8300), with improvements including a fully activated DVI digital video output with HDCP (High -Bandwidth Content Protection), an upgraded audio section, RS -232 control capability and other refinements.
RC5400 and RC1400 Remotes: Total Home Entertainment System Control
Marantz' new touch -screen RC5400 and the sleek, value -priced RC1400 programmable learning remote controls provide easy, complete control of every component in a home entertainment system, and offer customizable programming along with a host of sophisticated control capabilities. Both new remotes provides complete control of every type of audio/video equipment -TVs, DVD players, A/V receivers, cable and satellite boxes, and almost every type of component that responds to IR control.
ZS5300 Multi -Zone Selector Amplifier
Marantz will also demonstrate its ZS5300 Multi -Zone Selector Amplifier, a highly versatile six -channel/three -zone multi -room amplifier that can accommodate audio from up to six independent music sources and feed them to three rooms throughout the home. The unit offers a host of custom installation -friendly features, including the ability to link multiple ZS5300 units for more complex whole -house systems.
OPUS Multi -Room System: Now Offering Video Switching and Expanded Capabilities
The new OPUS multi -room system, also on exhibit at the Marantz EHX booth, combines the sonic advantages of high -end audio components with the convenience, flexibility and user benefits that whole -house multi -room installations provide -in an elegant system that integrates seamlessly into the home environment. The system consists of the Master Control Unit (MCU500); OPUS Keypad/Display (WCU500); Learning Remote Control (LRC500), System Remote Control (SRC500); Digital Zone Module stereo amplifiers (DZM20, DZM50 and DZM100), various system accessories and options such as the Video Control Interface (VSU500) and the Serial Control Interface (SCU500).
