New MD-106T, First in Innovative Triode Tube Series, Raises the Bar for Off-the-Air FM Reception with Exceptional Quality, Design and Performance
BRAMPTON, ONTARIO, Oct. 30, 2003 - - Magnum Dynalab, a specialist in the design and manufacture of superb analog audio products, announces the introduction of the MD -106T Triode Tube Tuner, raising analog FM reception to a new level of excellence.
The MD -106T is the first model in Magnum's new Triode Series of dedicated tuners. The tuner combines both sensitivity and selectivity in channel reception with exceptional musical realism, demonstrating the extraordinary build quality and performance for which Magnum products are known.
Employing the talents of top tube designer Zdenko Zivkovic, formerly a designer for Sonic Frontiers, the MD -106T exhibits an uncompromising attention to detail. For example, Magnum engineers devoted special attention to the ground plane to protect the main signal from stray ground path signals, preserving the micro information in key audio passages that other tuners often lose.
In similar fashion, the MD -106T's design exhibits zero feedback, maintaining the integrity of the original waveform, while the power supply has been crafted to eliminate the ripple effect, preserving the nuances and full impact of musical programs for listeners to enjoy.
Additional features include a glowing Magic Eye Tube indicator for fast, precise center tuning, a fully complementary balanced design, a five -stage front end, 100 percent isolation from stray radio frequencies, and a double thick, gold -plated printed circuit board to minimize vibration.
The MD -106T's design integrity extends to its components, which include matched and certified Model 6922 Bugle Boy Tubes by Amperex in the amplification stage, and Ultimate MIT capacitors in the audio path, bypass and AC filtration. The audio path also employs Kimber KCAG wire specially developed for the transmission of line level audio signals, and constructed with three braids of pure silver VariStrand® conductors. Pearl coolers - - concertina -flanged copper sleeves designed to act as heat sinks - - are used on the tubes to reduce signal microphonics and extend tube life.
The MD -106T is available now from authorized Magnum Dynalab dealers at a suggested price of $3,995.
