AVAD, LLC, the nationwide custom installation electronics distributor, gave away over $50,000 in prizes at CEDIA EXPO 2003 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL - October 16, 2003 - AVAD, LLC, the nationwide custom installation electronics distributor, gave away over $50,000 in prizes at CEDIA EXPO 2003 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The winners were selected through drawings held at AVAD's show booth as part of the introduction to its newest program, Dealer to Builder (D2B). Dealers who visited AVAD's booth and watched the D2B presentation were eligible to win various prizes drawn immediately after each presentation held every half hour of each of the show days. In addition, by visiting a series of AVAD's manufacturer booths, they were eligible for eight grand prize drawings on the last day of the show.

"The AVAD booth prize drawings were a great incentive for dealers at CEDIA EXPO to find out about the benefits of our forward -thinking D2B program," stated Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. "By linking our dealers and installers with the builder market, we're providing them greater opportunities to expand the services and products they offer. And, as more homeowners ask for efficiently installed, quality technology in their new homes, D2B connects builders with the best dealers who can provide it. D2B is a program that's going to give each participant the essentials to take their business and profits to new levels."

Visitors to the AVAD booth made themselves eligible for the grand prize drawings by going to a number of AVAD's distributed manufacturers' show booths and suites throughout the venue. After learning about that manufacturer's premium technology, carried by AVAD, an attendee collected a mark on their prize card. After a certain combination of ten marks, the attendee was registered for the drawing on the EXPO's last day.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
