LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL 2004 announces the addition of the Daylighting Institute to the 2004 Conference program, Monday, March 29 & Tuesday, March 30, 2004, consisting of six 2 -day intensive courses of instruction.

Daylighting has become the hottest topic in lighting today, as LEED and sustainable design make its use critically important in successful projects. In 2004, LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL will introduce the Daylighting Institute, the first international program for information exchange of its type in more than 17 years.

The Daylighting Institute will be developed by a stellar group of individuals and organizations in the field, with leaders from Southern California Edison, the University of Nevada/Las Vegas, the New Buildings Institute, the Daylighting Collaborative/Energy Center of Wisconsin, and the Heschong Mahone Group. The Daylighting Institute course topics and speakers will be announced in November.

The LIGHTFAIR Institute and Seminars have been carefully developed to be complimentary to the Daylighting Institute, offering the most robust and thorough lighting applications conference series ever produced, and providing AIA, ASID, IIDA, IESNA, and IFMA accreditation (upon individual association approval). The LIGHTFAIR Institute will be comprised of five Immersion courses, three Masters Courses, and ten Workshops. The Conference Seminars will consist of 27 broad based, in -depth architectural lighting seminars, and will take place simultaneously with the Trade Show, Wednesday, March 31 - Friday, April 2, 2004, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.


As a compliment to the new Daylighting Institute, exhibitors with daylighting and daylight integration products will be featured in the LIGHTFAIR INTERNATIONAL exhibit hall, providing hands -on product knowledge, technological information, and demonstrations.
