Architectural Audio™ by Sonance®, has started shipping its new line of AVC™ (Amplified Volume Control) products designed for Home System Integrators, security professionals, and electricians installing distributed audio in new tract homes.
Tapping into the trend of pre -wiring new homes for multi -room audio systems, Architectural Audio™ by Sonance®, has started shipping its new line of AVC™ (Amplified Volume Control) products designed for Home System Integrators, security professionals, and electricians installing distributed audio in new tract homes.
"Our AVC line of products builds upon a patent we have held for several years and optimizes it for audio distribution and control over structured wiring," said Hal Hufford, vice president of sales and marketing for Sonance. "The AVC system is easy to install - it puts the amplifier in the room with the speakers, the most efficient location for it in a new tract home building situation - and it's a cost effective solution for new tract homebuilders who want to offer multi -room audio as a standard or option to the homebuyer."
The Architectural Audio AVC line consists of the AVC KP, an in -wall amplified keypad controller, AVC rotary and slider volume control units, AVC in -wall hubs, and a stand -alone AVC hub unit. All AVC products incorporate patented in -wall amplified volume control (AVC) technology for distributing audio over CAT5 or four conductor wire to keypads and volume controls which incorporate "Class D" digital amplifier technology.
The AVC represents a modular approach to amplifying and distributing audio in residential and commercial music systems. In these systems, audio is delivered from the audio source (AM/FM Receiver, CD, MP3) via RCA connectors to an audio hub, which then delivers sound and control signals over CAT5 to the wall -mounted controller. Each hub is able to distribute to 4 keypads or volume controls, which can be located in separate rooms. With an additional hub, the system can be daisy -chained to expand for distribution in up to 12 rooms. The system can supply up to 35 watts of power (20 watts RMS) to each speaker, more than any other amplified volume control technology currently on the market.
The system's most advanced and flexible in -wall unit is the AVC KP amplified keypad controller. The most versatile product in the line up, the AVC KP features up/down touch buttons with integrated IR control support, status light indicators for source equipment, and dual color status LED. The unit offers 2 x 20W RMS Class -D amplified power output into 8 ohms.
Architectural Audio by Sonance products are designed to work alone or with other modular audio systems for greater flexibility in system design.
Sonance's patented AVC system technology is both easy to install and easy to use in new construction or retrofit applications. All Architectural Audio products are designed with a 2.125" (54 mm) depth to fit in smaller j -boxes and feature attractive Decora® -style faceplates, in white and almond colors, that easily integrate into any décor.
The Architectural Audio line is now shipping and will be sold through authorized distributors. Visit http://www.architectural -audio.com for more information.
