LiteTouch Introduces "PocketLT" for Pocket PC

New software for Pocket PC gives designers and installers added flexibility during the final stages of lighting design and programming.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - LiteTouch, Inc., the world's premier lighting control manufacturer, announces the release of PocketLT. This new software for Pocket PC permits a designer to make permanent, real time modifications to a LiteTouch system through a wireless access point. System designers can quickly find programmed buttons and view or modify load levels without a bulky laptop.

"PocketLT lets a designer walk from room to room adjusting lighting scenes, dimming sconces here and making changes there as much as they like. This compact, mobile tool is easy to navigate and helps tremendously with that critical 'aim and focus' portion of lighting design," said Doug Campbell, Director of Sales & Marketing at LiteTouch, Inc.

The LiteTouch 5000LC Central Control Unit (CCU) connects to a wireless access point which links to the Pocket PC. The designer downloads the program from the CCU into a Pocket PC equipped with PocketLT and can then manipulate individual lighting loads and adjust scene levels while being in the location of the desired change. The simple interface has a slider for changing light levels; its large images and buttons are intuitive to navigate.

Pocket PC Version 3.0 or better with 32 MB of RAM that is ARM compatible is required. The designer can either request PocketLT online or purchase a Dell Pocket PC directly from LiteTouch, Inc. with the software already loaded.
