Special magazine showcases networked IT, A/V, communications and control products to retailers and VARs planning to attend 2004 International CES

September 29, 2003 - -In response to retailers' growing interest in networked products at CES, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced today that it will team with EH Publishing, Inc. to publish Home Tech Retailer: Destination CES.

Designed to stimulate interest in the home networking category, the special publication will connect retailers with relevant exhibitors -those demonstrating traditional networking and IT products, as well as networked A/V products, media servers, telecommunications products, home automation, ingredient technologies, and related services.

The publication will be mailed in December 2003 to 50,000 qualified readers, including 40,000 CES pre -registrants who have declared an interest in home networking, and 10,000 other qualified VARs and retailers. Home Tech Retailer is first publication to provide retailers in -depth coverage of the special sales, merchandising and support requirements of home networking as well as extensive product and technical news, market data and other vital information and advice drawn from CES and CEA.

"Long dominated by the installation -only channel to market, home networking is now catching on at retail," said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of CEA. "New wireless technologies like Wi -Fi and Bluetooth, consumers' insatiable demand for all things connected, and retailers' growing understanding of the support measures required to sell network products and make them stick are making it happen. We're excited to be working with EH on Home Tech Retailer. The publication will enhance retailers' understanding of the opportunity of the networked home and get more companies in on the action via a visit to exhibitors and seminars at CES."

EH co -founder Julie Jacobson will lead an all -star editorial team including noted retail and technology writers and researchers to craft the editorial product. For more information on editorial opportunities, contact Julie at or 651 -275 -9564.
