CEDIA EXPO Breaks Attendance Records - Again

More than 22,000 attendees flood Indiana Convention Center for annual EXPO

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) announced today that more than 22,000 custom electronics professionals from around the world were on -site at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome for the 2003 CEDIA EXPO, the largest number of attendees in CEDIA's 14 -year history of hosting EXPO.


CEDIA EXPO was held September 3 -7 in Indianapolis and recorded a 13 percent increase in the number of attendees over 2002. In addition, CEDIA increased the number of students enrolled in education classes by 7 percent.

CEDIA EXPO, the only show that meets the specialized needs of the residential custom electronics industry, broke attendance records last year with 19,500 attendees, exhibitors and media in Minneapolis and was recognized by Tradeshow Week as one of the top 100 tradeshows in the country in 2002.

"We have seen tremendous growth in this industry and CEDIA has kept pace with the demand by delivering not only bigger, but better opportunities for trade professionals to learn about the newest technologies and trends in home networking and home automation," said Jeff Hoover, CEDIA president.

EXPO will return to the Indiana Convention Center in 2004 and remains in Indianapolis through 2005. CEDIA EXPO 2004 will be held September 8 -12, 2004.
