CONCERTO AUDIO DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM BOASTS GENERATION D DIGITAL AMPLIFICATION

NuVo Technologies unveiled the new Concerto Six-Source, Eight-Zone Audio Distribution System at the 2003 CEDIA EXPO. Concerto presents NuVo's new Generation D utilizing the D Amplifier from Philips Semiconductors.

September 2, 2003, CINCINNATI, OH - NuVo Technologies, the respected designer and manufacturer of automated home audio distribution products, unveiled the new Concerto™ Six -Source, Eight -Zone Audio Distribution System at the 2003 CEDIA Show in Indianapolis. Concerto presents NuVo's new Generation D™ utilizing the D Amplifier™ from Philips Semiconductors. The system provides 80 watts of clear, precise sound to six powered listening zones and provides two additional unpowered zones for use with auxiliary amplification to serve large listening areas. The use of the state -of -the -art digital D Amplifier™ allows the Concerto system to operate at peak efficiency, drawing little power and generating relatively low heat.

The Concerto system offers a variety of special features. All eight listening zones have built -in variable and fixed lineouts for use with external amplification, as well as trigger outputs to turn on external equipment. Six -source status inputs allow the system to monitor source power status for use with macro on/off commands. An RS232 serial data port allows real -time control by home automation controllers. Windows -based templates make system configuration and programming easy. And NuVo's trademark EZ Port integrates the system's Cat -5 wires so installation requires just a single network cable to the amplifier.
Concerto's fully programmable display pad boasts a dual -gang design with elegant, backlit buttons and a vacuum fluorescent display with a clear image that is easy to read in any light environment. Macro command capabilities allow users to make a series of commands with one push of a button, and additional "hotkey" functions let the user easily set zone -specific commands, such as a "Do Not Disturb" command, a whole -house "Master" control, a "Dim" setting that automatically decreases the display to a nominal level when the display pad is not in use, and a "Lock" feature that locks all keypad functions where they are set. The display pad menu permits control of treble, bass, balance, and loudness in each individual zone. For large, open living spaces, such as a kitchen, dining room, or great room, a unique grouping feature enables two groups of display pads to share the same source selection while maintaining individual volume control.
The Concerto Six -Source, Eight -Zone Audio Distribution System will be available in December 2003 at a suggested retail price of just $2,999. The package will ship with the Concerto Generation D six -source, eight -zone amplifier; six display pads, each with white, ivory, and almond cover plates; six IR emitters; an EZ Port multi -port connection plate; and network cable.
