ProSyst Releases mPRM 3.2 ... The powerful service provisioning tool for all OSGi-compliant gateways and devices - based on OSGi Service Platform Release 3
Cologne, August 21, 2003 - ProSyst Software AG today announced the availability of version 3.2. of its mPower Remote Manager. mPRM enables the fast and easy delivery and management of services and applications for electronic devices in the home, vehicle systems, mobile devices, and industrial environments. The safe integration of third -parties into business models is secured by a reliable data exchange between the devices, manufacturers, network operators, and external service providers. ProSyst´s customers can make their devices even more attractive and future -proof by upgrading their services and extending the software life -cycle which is normally shorter than the device life -cycle.
Due to mPRM´s modular and flexible architecture, companies can deliver, deploy, remotely install, start, stop, de -install, manage, update, and bill services, such as:
- Remote updates of device software
- Remote and error diagnosis
- Data readout
- Entertainment content
- Information services
Using this administration and management platform, car manufacturers can for example automatically and remotely deliver software updates or infotainment services to multiple cars of a specific series, a certain region or a defined user category. Mobile devices of sales representatives or service technicians in the field can be updated and data can be synchronized with existing back -end systems, such as J2EE application servers and CRM/SCM systems.
