OnQ Technologies Launches New Online Installation Overview Training Course

Online Installation Overview training, the latest innovation from OnQ Technologies, enables installers to learn about structured wiring installation in a self-paced interactive environment on a computer in their office or home.

Harrisburg, PA (August 18, 2003) - OnQ Technologies, Inc., the leader in the home networking systems market, recently released a new Online Installation Overview training course that gives low -voltage installers and distributors more flexibility in receiving training on OnQ structured wiring products.

Online Installation Overview training, the latest innovation from OnQ Technologies, enables installers to learn about structured wiring installation in a self -paced interactive environment on a computer in their office or home. The Online Installation Overview training course features a presentation video, narrated by an OnQ instructor, which is synchronized to a condensed PowerPoint presentation from the existing OnQ Level 2 Installation Training course. The video provides a powerful component, allowing OnQ to demonstrate the visual portions of the training courses, including the proper stripping of Cat 5E and RG6 cables, 110 punch -down termination techniques, enclosure rough -in, and outlet installation. It also teaches installers about OnQ system modules, required tools for proper installation, the OnQ package approach, and a review of careful installation planning for increased upgrade sales.

"The new Online Installation training course is our most flexible training option to date," said Patrick Donnelly, director of training, OnQ Technologies. "The interactive nature of the course allows users to learn by example through hands -on exercises and instruction at their own pace."

The OnQ Online Installation Overview training course is absent a live trainer, allowing the student to select the pace, and stop and resume the class at any time. This type of training offers significant benefits to installer companies for training new employees, as well as veteran installers who are interested in a refresher course. Online training eliminates the inconvenience and expense of leaving the field for off -site training, providing for increased flexibility. The training course is accessible by logging onto the OnQ website at www.onqtech.com. Once registered, users receive an active hyperlink that will allow them to conveniently view the course right online. OnQ Technologies plans to introduce additional Online Installation Overview training courses in the future.

OnQ Technologies, Inc. is a privately held corporation, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA.
