OnQ Technologies Completes Assignment Of Its Management Team
HARRISBURG, PA (July 15, 1999)- OnQ Technologies Inc., a privately held corporation formed by the management and employees of the former AMP Building Systems Division, announces the full staffing of its management team since the companys divestment from AMP Incorporated.
"Our management team comprises some of the best and most experienced players in the building systems market," says Douglas A. Fikse, president of OnQ. "Through their leadership we look forward to seamlessly meeting customer demand, exceeding customer expectations, and making exciting improvements to the OnQ Home Wiring System."
James D. Devin, vice president-sales, is responsible for strategy development and implementation, as well as management of field sales personnel and major customer relations. He spent 6 years with AMP Building Systems in sales and marketing and has held sales and management positions with Pella Window Corp. and Chelsea Custom Interiors. He is a member of the National Association of Home Builders. He holds a BS in analytical management from the US Naval Academy.
T. Stuart Rutherford, vice president-operations, is responsible for all business operations, including manufacturing and office operations. He worked with AMP for over 17 years in positions that included engineering, project management and manufacturing management. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA in business from Harvard University.
Charles L. Tartaglione, vice president- regional sales, is responsible for business and financial leadership. He worked with AMP Building Systems for 6 years as a regional sales and service manager. Prior to AMP he worked with SEARS Commercial Installations, Johnson Controls and Honeywell. He holds a BS in engineering technology from Rose State College.
Todd R. Regar, director-marketing, is responsible for product management and marketing for the company. He worked with AMP Building Systems for 2 years in business management and marketing communications. Prior to AMP, he worked 10 years for Sprint Corporation in vertical market management, product management, sales and financial management positions. He holds a BS in business administration/finance from Shippensburg University and an MBA in marketing from Mount St. Marys college.
Gary D. Smothers, vice president/treasurer/controller, is responsible for all financial requirements for the company. He worked for AMP for 15 years in positions that included accounting, internal audit, business services and financial management. Prior to AMP he worked with the public service commission and the state auditors office for the state of Missouri. He holds a BA in government/economics from Dartmouth College and an MS in financial management from the University of Missouri.
Lawrence A. Hall, director-product development, is responsible for product direction of the OnQ, MDU and OEM product lines. He is also the acting director of research and development. Hall was with AMP for 22 years in roles such as development engineering, quality engineering and project engineering. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA in business administration from Shippensburg University.
Gary E. Axe is manufacturing manager. Employed at AMP Incorporated for 10 years, Axe was product engineering manager, project manager, development engineer and reliability engineer for products such as the AMP Lighting Control systems and the SMART HOUSE system. Axe holds a BS in electrical engineering and an ME in engineering science.
Catherine M. Weikel, logistics manager, is responsible for warehousing, shipping and receiving, production control and logistics. Weikel spent 26 years with AMP Incorporated as warehouse manager and materials and production control manager, as well as in customer service with AMP Building Systems Division.
Linda L. Hoppes, customer service manager, is responsible for ensuring proper communications and satisfaction of the OnQ customer base. Hoppes had been with AMP for eight years in production control, sales administration and dealer support.
The OnQ Home Wiring System was recently named as one of the Top 150 Most Requested Products in 1998 from Building Products Magazine and also received the Mark of Excellence Award for Interoperable Products in 1998 from the Home Automation Association.
