OnQ Technologies Releases Compact System Enclosure

Harrisburg, PA (May 1, 1999)—OnQ Technologies Inc., the world leader in home wiring systems, has released a new 12-inch modular enclosure for the OnQ Home Wiring System. As the smallest and most inexpensive OnQ enclosure available, the unit offers 24 inches of rail space for mounting video, telecom, network, and home office modules in various combinations.

The galvanized steel body offers an attractive rust-resistant finish, while the new "Flat Tri-Rail" design accommodates both full- and half-width modules. A knockout in the enclosure allows an AC receptacle to be internally mounted, while the sides accept Velcro straps or plastic ties for organizing and managing cables. Multiple cable-entry holes at the top and bottom feature a smooth, coined finish to protect cables from abrasion and wear.

"The 12" enclosure makes a structured home wiring system more affordable," said Doug Fikse, president of OnQ Technologies. "Although the space-saving Tri-Rail mounting design is compact, the enclosure accommodates expansive capabilities to add voice, video, and data modules to achieve a complete whole-house structured wiring solution," added Fikse.

OnQ Technologies, Inc., a privately held corporation formed by the management and employees of the former AMP Building Systems Division, is the world’s leading supplier of home structured wiring systems.

The OnQ Home Wiring System and Home Management System are sold and installed through the nationwide network of OnQ dealers and distributors. For more information, call (800) 321-2343 or visit the OnQ Technologies website at http://www.onqtech.com.
