HOME AUTOMATION ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF FOURTH SHOW AND CREATES JOINT VENTURE WITH EH PUBLISHING

Home Automation Association Teams with EH Publishing to launch Electronic House EXPO 2000

Washington, D.C.  Home automation professionals will soon be able to benefit from market synergy, thanks to a new industry event being developed by the Home Automation Association (HAA) and EH Publishing (publisher of Electronic House, CEPro and Popular Home Automation magazines). The Electronic House Expo 2000 - March 3-5, 2000, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, USA - will continue the success that HAA has had over the last three years in sponsoring an event in Orlando, and expand it with the home automation and networking industry knowledge and scope brought by EH Publishing. This will be the only stand alone show for home control and automation systems. The event will be sponsored by HAA and produced/managed by EH Publishing.

The Electronic House EXPO 2000 will benefit dealers and manufacturers in home security, electrical contracting, HVAC, lighting, home theater/audio-visual, and other home control system markets. "With this event, the business boundaries of home systems, networking and technology will be broadened to reach all the industries converging to form this new industry," said HAA President Ken Kerr.

"The Electronic House EXPO 2000 will be much more than an exhibition. Our objective is to implement a training curriculum that HAA has established to enhance installing dealers' ability to market and provide quality services to their customers," said Kerr. "The Home Automation Association is proud to be working with EH Publishing who has proven to be a leader in the home automation industry through its publications, and now we will deliver an event dedicated to this growth industry."

"We are pleased with the intitial participation of leading companies in the show, including AMX, Intel, Lucent Technologies, Lutron, IBM, Vantage, HAI, X-10 Pro and Leviton" said Ken Moyes, President of EH Publishing. "Special demonstration areas for industry groups will also be added to increase attendee traffic," noted Moyes. HAA members receive a $2 per square foot discount on exhibit space. For exhibit space information contact: John Galante at 703-352-9211 ( www.ehexpo.com )

HAA is the trade association of the home control and networking industry. Members include utilities, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, installers and service providers. For more information on HAA contact Charles McGrath 202/712-9050 or visit HAA's web site at www.homeautomation.com .
