DOMOSYS RELEASES CEBoxTM 2.1 CEBus SOFTWARE TOOL.

Quebec City, (Canada) May 28 - Domosys Corporation announced today the release of Version 2.1 of the CEBox Software Development System, its industry leading development tool. Priced at only US $495 per licence, CEBox is a low-cost, mature tool that generates a complete CEBus / Home Plug & PlayTM protocol stack for product developers.

CEBox is a software tool for product developers that operates with a choice of CEBus/Home Plug & Play compliant libraries to generate a protocol stack in object-code form. Libraries are specific to the selected micro-controller and power line transceiver. Developers of products for residential and commercial control network applications rely on CEBox to generate their protocol and application firmware. Its ease of use and the underlying guarantee of compliance to protocol specifications make CEBox the tool of choice for CEBus/Home Plug & Play based product development. CEBox runs on Windows 95, 98 and NT operating systems.

Version 2.1 includes many new features such as: Non-Volatile Memory initialization; Explicit Retry services at the Application Layer for multiple retransmissions of messages; duplicate rejection and segmentation at the Network Layer for transmission of up to 63 Kb messages.

"CEBox is a powerful enabler for the CEBus/Home Plug & Play development community" said Evan Price, President of Domosys Corporation. "We were the first company in the control networks industry to recognize that quality development tools offered at low prices were a condition for market growth. CEBox v2.1 is a demonstration of our continued commitment to this vision."

The CEBox Software Development System is also offered in a package of tools, known as the HeadStart Suite, which includes the CETester Tool, the CEBoard prototyping board and the CECom power line modem. The HeadStart Suite is sold directly by Domosys for US $995 per licence. This suite takes developers from Idea to Prototype _ fully tested and protocol compliant _ in the shortest possible time at the lowest available cost.

Licenses for source code versions, known as CEBox Pro, and for research and training are also available.

Domosys Corporation is a leading provider of power line control network technology and design services to worldwide residential, commercial, services utility and transportation markets. This technology is composed of power line transceiver ICs, tools and specialty products. These are compliant with the CEBus Standard (EIA-600) and the Home Plug & Play Specification, North America’s open standards for control networks.

Founded in 1994, Domosys Corporation is a privately held corporation based in Quebec City, Canada. Shareholders of the company include Hydro-Québec, the Société Générale de Financement, CIBC Capital, Hafslund and Innovatech Québec. Domosys has previously announced technology partnerships with Cadence Design Systems, Detroit Edison, Hydro-Québec and EPRI.
