LonUsers International Spring 98 Conference and Exhibition

LonUsers International Spring 98 Conference and Exhibition has concluded on a successful note with over 1300 participants gathering for two packed days of presentations and new product introductions.

Echelon shared co-sponsorship of the conference with Platinum Sponsors Motorola, Raytheon, and Enron Energy Systems. Mr. Steven Behm, Cisco Systems delivered the Keynote Address.

45 Exhibitors showed new products and services in the expanded exhibit hall and submitted 37 products to the Best New LonWorks Product of 1998 contest. The contest winners and their product are:

1.    CIRCON Technology Corp., Visual Integrator

2.     JRS Technology, Inc., LonWorks Electronic Ballast Controller

3.     Alya International, Inc., O.P.E.N. centrix An access

The conference proceedings are being prepared for placement on the CD ROM and will be distributed in June. It will contain the 39 Presentations, 6 tutorials, 4 Industry Keynote Addresses, welcoming remarks by Ken and Bea's presentation. All full conference attendees and speakers will receive the CD. CDs will also be available to any Echelon staff that would like one. In addition we are also producing a video of conference highlights that will be distributed to all our offices.
