If you're the sort of person who gets a kick out of all the hottest new gadgets, or if you need to buy a gift for someone who does, don't miss the latest in technology for the home. You and the gadget-lovers on your shopping list won't want to be without a new device that puts the power of light control in the palm of your hand.

This unique gadget consists of a hand-held infrared wireless remote control plus a dimmer with a built-in infrared receiver. The dimmer uses existing wiring and easily replaces a standard light switch.

Newspace.jpg (2186 bytes)To control the lights, you aim the remote at the dimmer on the wall -- transmitting the infrared signal to adjust the brightness of the lights or turn them off or on. It not only changes lighting intensity, it can also recall a preset light level and has a fade-to-off feature so the lights dim gradually as you leave the room.

Called Spacer, this device makes a great gift or a welcome addition to one's own home.
From a bed, chair or anywhere you can quickly adjust the lighting for different activities or times of day. In an entertainment room, you can turn the lights down low for television viewing. Then when you need brighter lighting to check the schedule or find a snack, you can adjust the lights with the touch of a button.

A remote light control is also convenient in the bathroom. You can easily adjust the lights when you're in the tub, or turn the lights low so you won't be jolted by the brightness in the middle of the night. Spacer can be an asset in any room.

Spacer provides added independence for individuals with reduced or limited mobility because they won't have to get up and down to adjust the lights -- or ask someone else to do it for them.

Made by Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., the world leader in lighting controls, Spacer is sold nationwide through lighting showrooms and electrical distributors. For more information about Spacer, visit the Lutron Web site at www.lutron.com .
