Unique Design Leads to Improved Functionality
Speaker systems built into lamps and furniture.
Lime Light Audio

Consider them ‘headphones for your couch’, and you won’t ‘muss’ your hair! They are sure to impress the audio enthusiast and interior decorator alike!

These attractive contemporary lamps enclose a speaker system for improved functionality of both the furniture and speaker system. The unique speaker and lamp combination allows for placement of the system unobtrusively and attractively within a room. The speakers are arranged vertically within the hollow furniture, emitting sound vertically upwards and downwards. Sound directing parabolic surfaces are placed adjacent the speakers and redirect the sound horizontally over a 360 degree range.

The two-way bass reflex enclosures incorporate audio components from Tymphany; using high quality 6.5” woofers with “sandwich” cones and heavy magnets with a short circuiting ring in the magnet that provides excellent linearity with low distortion, and 1” soft-dome tweeters. The unique enclosure design allows for improved porting capabilities; cabinet frequency 48.5Hz, resulting in better low end performance and higher power handling than bookshelf speakers of similar size. The crossover frequency: 2.2 kHz. Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms. (8 ohms available) Sensitivity: 86.5dB/2.83V/m Cabinet dimensions: 8.125”x8.125”x15” Lampshade: 16”x16”x10.5” Cabinet weight: 25 lbs.

The hand crafted cabinets made from ½” solid surface material come in six different colors that simulate the look and feel of granite. The lamp features a three way light switch (bulb not included), with an 8 foot UL power cord. Finally, they are topped off with a choice of three designer lampshades; the standard model in white, or chose from two optional colors made from Dupioni Silk, in gray or ivory.

These sound systems are ideal for use as a stereo pair, or in conjunction with home theater components. They might just be the ultimate rear channel speakers for home theater, or depending on your home theater set up, they could also be used at either end of your big screen TV! (Coming soon: shielded models) Consider them ‘headphones for your couch’, and you won’t ‘muss’ your hair! They are sure to impress the audio enthusiast and interior decorator alike!
