Telect’s Audio/Video Signal Management Group Signs Protocol License Agreement with PHAST

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. —Telect, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of connectivity products for the communications industry, and PHAST Corporation, a leading provider of advanced home automation systems, have joined forces to bring high quality audio/video equipment to the home automation market.

A recently signed PHASTLink license agreement provides PHAST dealers with access to Telect’s unique audio/video signal management products, supplying them with broadcast quality equipment for the home market at affordable prices. Wayne Williams, President & CEO of Telect, Inc., and Steve Alexander, President of PHAST Corporation, made the announcement today.

Under the agreement, all PHAST dealers and integrators throughout the U.S. have access to Telect’s flexible VersaFrame® system, a modular frame for analog and digital audio and video signal management. The frame supports a wide variety routing switchers, distribution amplifiers, and control modules, allowing dealers and integrators to customize virtually every installation. Individual modules dock in the chassis, allowing users to easily configure their audio/video solutions.

In addition to the VersaFrame, PHAST dealers will have access to the new Mica Peak™ series of configured routing switchers, systems that are pre-configured for 8 x 8 composite, 8 x 8 S-Video, or a combination 4 x 4 each of composite and S-Video for those installations requiring both types of sources. (A typical home application may incorporate security cameras that utilize a composite format, and S-Video components such as DSS or DVD.)

All PHAST dealers and integrators will be invited to attend a certification program at Telect, where they will learn how to install and configure the VersaFrame.

The PHASTLink implementation will allow PHAST dealers to seamlessly manipulate and control Telect devices in a home automation system. These PHASTLink-compatible Telect products feature a simple one-click connection to the Landmark system for control and feedback. No additional setup is required; all capabilities are available through drag-and-drop programming, and device ID is automatic.
