New Venue, New Positioning
As The Home Automation Show & Conference Enters The New Millennium
NORWALK, CT, February 1, 1999 Association Expositions & Services, creators and managers of the Home Automation Show and Conference, have unveiled plans to reposition the annual event in the year 2000. As a start to a wide range of new initiatives, two exciting developments were released to the market this week with the announcement that the show venue will move to Chicago next year and be co-located with the International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC EXPO/Chicago), June 21-22, 2000 at Chicagos Navy Pier. Both the security and home automation shows will continue to be stand-alone events but will run at the same time and be cross promoted to supply both attendees and exhibitors with a host of benefits that have never been available before now.
The main advantage for people that attend both shows is the educational value from two events held in one location. As a critical component in integrated home systems, ISC EXPO will give participants all the tools and resources needed to expand their business into the security market -- the most frequently integrated sub-system. For attendees that have only been able to attend one of the two events due to time or financial considerations, combining the two events will mean getting a chance to see all the latest advances in both security and home automation at one time.
Exhibitors are expected to receive even greater benefits from the changes in venue. AE&S will be able to save companies money on space and promotional costs for those companies that are currently exhibiting in both shows. For those companies that only exhibit in one of the two shows, show management will be able to draw a much larger and diverse crowd of attendees who currently purchase from both sets of exhibiting companies. This is a big advantage for two events already recognized for their industry leadership.
AE&S is expected to announce other initiatives for The Home Automation Show & Conference 2000 over the next few months including event plans, keynote speakers and more.
