Now you no longer need a dedicated fax line - that line can be shared throughout the home. I no longer have to work in the Home Office if I don't want to. I can make and receive calls on my business line from my back porch. The Home Office line can be shared too. After office hours that line can be easily accessed by any member of the family, no matter where they are in the house. Adam is the Creative

Meet George Jetson… His boy Elroy… Daughter-in-law Cindy… It's a crazy world we live in, a world where the Home Office is becoming a more prominent reality, a world where high-tech gadgetry and the busy home are about to collide, head on.
Now, look at your home office - more like the Jetson's isn't it? You have more telecommunications equipment than you know what to do with. A PC, laptop, printer, fax machine, an extra phone line, the Internet, a dedicated fax line… you can probably still hear your own voice once saying "I will NEVER need a dedicated fax line in my home…"
Your office needs are compounded by the needs of your busy family. But, unlike the Brady's, you need to make sure that Bobby can get on the Internet to access the users manual for his new bike, while Marcia finishes up her term paper on superiority and don't forget Greg wants to "chat" with the friends he made in Hawaii last year. Not to mention you want to keep a phone line open for incoming calls.
Fortunately, combining your Home Office - and all its telecommunications needs - with your busy family - and all their Digital needs - is becoming an easier proposition every day.
"The trend we are seeing today is what we call the TWFWDK effect - Two Worker Families With Digital Kids," said Gary Lee, Vice President of Marketing for Home Wireless Networks. "In essence, the Brady family and the Jetson family now live in the same household and the needs of every person in that household have collided. Many family members want to get online at the same time. How do you accomplish that without using extra phone lines? They also want access to every phone line, no matter where they are in their home. And, they want it all in a system that will expand as this Digital world expands."
What is the Home Wireless Networks solution? They have created a system that combines a business phone system (with features like multi-line HandSets, Caller ID on every line, call conferencing, etc.) with a LAN and an Internet Gateway, and they made it all wireless.
What does this mean for a Home Office and, subsequently, the busy home?
"Being able to access any phone line, from any HandSet in your house is a powerful advantage," said Lee. "Now you no longer need a dedicated fax line - that line can be shared throughout the home. I no longer have to work in the Home Office if I don't want to. I can make and receive calls on my business line from my back porch. The Home Office line can be shared too. After office hours that line can be easily accessed by any member of the family, no matter where they are in the house."
Probably most important, the system helps to keep the peace in the household about who gets to use the Internet, when and for how long - a family can have multiple PCs online at the same time, using only one phone line and only one Internet account. In the Brady example, Greg will be able to "chat" with his friends online, Marcia can continue to research her paper and Bobby can access his bike's manual. All that, and if Mr. Brady wanted to check out the latest in architectural design on the Internet, he could. And, lucky for Alice, extra phone lines are still available for when Sam calls.
Since the system is also a wireless LAN the Brady family can share devices like scanners and printers, as well as files over the network. So, when Marcia finished her report she can send it to the color printer in her dad's office, and Bobby can save the bike's manual on a PC with a bigger hard drive. Plus, the system is wireless. So, Mr. Brady could install it himself, and there was no need for him to punch holes in his expensive Formica walls to string cable.
"Essentially, what we have done is make the Home Office exactly what it is - an extension of both your home and your office," said Lee. "We are taking the concept of the traditional Home Office and making it our first step in Home Automation. You can take this expensive equipment you bought for your Home Office - a color printer, extra phone lines, etc., - and share them with the rest of your home, wirelessly."
The Home Wireless Networks™ system gives your Home Office both a voice and data system like you would find in a Big Business Office. A phone system with powerful business features combined with a LAN and an Internet Gateway, wirelessly. But, it also gives you the added benefit of being able to share these advantages, and share your equipment, with the rest of your busy home. Giving the power of the Jetson's to The Brady Bunch.
