L3 Systems announces the KeyRF, providing RF remote control to your PC for overhead presentations, PC-TV, and home automation applications.

Redmond, WA -- Business Wire -- Oct 28th, 1998 L3 Systems, Inc. announces the KeyRF PC Remote Control, the new member of its keyboard technology products. This new device allows you to receive signals from key chain remote control transmitter (like a garage door opener) on your PC. It can be used for overhead projection presentations, to flip channels on your built-in PC TV, or for home automation systems.

The RF technology is far superior to infrared units, allowing 360 degree transmissions over longer distances, through walls and objects. The receiver can be programmed to assign custom keyboard keys to all five transmitter button combinations. The KeyRF plugs between the keyboard and the PC, and requires no software to be installed on the PC.

The KeyRF kit comes with a two-button key chain remote control transmitter, a radio frequency receiver, a cable to connect to the PC keyboard port, and a manual. List price for the KeyRF kit is $150.00. L3 Systems also manufactures the WristPC, a wrist mounted keyboard for wearable computing and the KeyAT RS-232/485 keyboard adapter.
