MURRAY, UTAH – NOVEMBER 20, 1998 - IES, Inc., a leader in the Home Networking and Structured Wiring Industry, is pleased to announce the introduction of their new Security System. The Security System comes as a module that slides into any IES Distribution Panel. Units are available for the Pro, HotWired™, QuickNetwork™ or QuickNetwork JR.™ series panel.

"The addition of the Security System to the IES family of products is another example of the IES commitment to provide the most complete Home Network Systems available today", said Robert Kyle, CEO of IES, Inc.

The IES Security System comes with an 8-zone controller (expandable to 32 zones), an LCD or LED Keypad, five contacts, one siren, one 7-hour battery and one motion detector. The Security System mounts directly into the hub space of a Pro or HotWired Series Panel or into the expansion-bay of a QuickNetwork or QuickNetwork JR Panel. This configuration provides the dealer with a common installation point for pulling telephone, coax and security wires as well as providing the homeowner with one panel that handles all low voltage and security needs, eliminating the need for multiple panels on the wall. In addition, IES has installed an RJ31X connection on its HB124 Telephone Distribution Hub, allowing for a quick and convenient connection between the Security System Hub and the Telephone Distribution Hub.
