The QMotions-Golf™ Indoor Golf Simulator
by Brandon Hetherington

Instead of using the Mouse for controlling golf swings, The QMotions-Golf™ Indoor Golf Simulator uses patented electronic technology to recognize swing speed and measure club head directional impact to translate actual golf swings into popular golf game titles like EA SPORTS™ Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 2004 (included with the Simulator), and others.

Like many of us across this country I can admit I have an addiction, and the addiction is Golf. Why am I addicted to a sport that costs so much money to play and sends me home with nothing but disappointment each and every time? But I like many others spend hundreds of dollars monthly playing Golf.

Lucky for me I live in Southern California which is one of the few places in the world with year round golf. I couldn’t imagine living somewhere where 6 months of the year snow covered the courses, what would I do?

For those unfortunate people who can’t play golf during the winter months or just can’t afford the increasing costs, park your cars in the Driveway, move the computer into the garage and invite your golf buddies over, QMotions-Golf has extended your golf season.

This allows players to practice playing golf with their own clubs, gaining valuable practice time and seeing the results on-screen. The sophisticated swing-arm assembly and accompanying electronics use sophisticated algorithms that take precise measurements so that actual golf swings are translated into highly accurate game results.

When I first received and began playing the Tiger Woods video game using the Simulator I was very hesitant to take a full golf swing in my living room; that is why I strongly suggest setting your computer or laptop up in the garage. Once I was comfortable to take full swings like I would on a golf course I was amazed at how realistic this was. I was slicing my Drives and hooking my Irons, just like my real golf game.

Last I heard, a round of golf at Pebble Beach was near $400, most of us will never get the chance to play that and many other premier courses. With the QMotions-Golf Simulator which retails for $199 (Including EA SPORTS™ Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 2004) you can find out how you would match up with the Pro’s. How you would shoot in 30 MPH winds and Heavy rough at St. Andrews?

The QMotions-Golf™ Indoor Golf Simulator provides a convenient and economical way for golfers to work on swing mechanics. Using a swing trainer to try to groove that 3 wood swing? Hitting putts into plastic cups or into a putting trainer that shoots the ball all over the room? Why use comparably priced swing trainers when you can use the QMotions-Golf™ Indoor Golf Simulator? See the results of your swings in vivid color in high-definition video while gathering valuable swing statistics that help you improve your consistency.

You probably are asking what does this have to do with “Home Technology”. Well in keeping with the idea of your home been a place that allows more & more entertainment options this fits the profile. If we can make our living rooms into movie theaters why can’t we make them golf courses??????
