ISC EXPO presents Security Expo at Miami
New Security Expo Delivers Valuable Business Contacts To Southeastern U.S. and Latin American Markets

Norwalk, CT. September 14, 1999 - Association Expositions and Services (AE&S), producers and managers of The International Security Conference & Exhibition (ISC EXPO) and Security Industry Association (SIA), show sponsor, have announced plans to return ISC Expo to Miami in 2000. The ISC show, unveiling a new name-- ISC EXPO presents Security Expo in Miami will be held on May 9 and 10, 2000 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Originally planned to be a bi-annual event, SIA has given its full support for ISC Expo Miami to become an annual forum for new product introductions, the latest technology, industry trends and the emerging future of property and life safety.

"It is inevitable that people will make comparisons to ISC/ New York and ISC/ Las Vegas. We want to make it clear that Security Expo at Miami is a niche market, created to serve the Latin-American and Southeastern U.S. markets," says Ron Spiller, Executive Director of SIA. "Based on the level of success from ISC EXPO/ Miami '99 and the amount of business activities that took place in '99, we believe that there are enormous growth opportunities and great potential to increase both U.S. and Latin American attendance in 2000."

By returning ISC to Miami, exhibitors will be able to reach the Southeast U.S. market, which comprises nearly 21% of the overall end-user security market and 25% of the dealer/installer market in the United States. In addition, ISC EXPO presents Security Expo in Miami will give ISC exhibitors an opportunity to access the Latin American market, a key geographic market that previously had not been drawn to the other ISC events.

"ISC EXPOs are ultimately about providing the latest information regarding technological innovations to the security industry. Our decision to return to Miami was based on independent researcher's careful evaluation of market demand," states Eileen Baird, industry vice president for AE&S. "Based on both attendee and exhibitor feedback, we believe that the Southeastern U.S. and Latin American buyers are greatly underserved. The Miami location provides Latin American and Southeastern U.S. attendees and exhibitors with very valuable liaisons that would not be available with any other forum."

Beyond simply benefiting from new technologies, attendees will gain the advantage of products that offer ease-of-use, greater security protection and in many cases, lower costs. Benefiting exhibitors, the Miami event will place booth size restrictions in order to keep the event smaller and more affordable (600 sq. ft maximum) as well as offer significant discounts to SIA members and returning exhibitors.

ISC EXPO/ Miami '99 attracted a total of 4,154 pre-registered industry professionals with representation from the U.S. and 44 countries. Latin American representation included Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Martinique, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

ISC EXPO presents Security Expo in Miami is sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA). It is endorsed by ALAS, Asociacion Latino Americana De Seguridad.
